Tour India: ‘Repeat Tourism’ in India
December 3, 2008 – 7:34 pmAlong with few other tourism awards in its kitty, India has now also won the World Travel Award 2008 for being a Responsible Tourism Destination. To retain its position as one of the vibrant travel destinations, India tourism industry is now working on the concept of ‘Repeat Tourism’.
The Union Minister of India a few days ago said that the tourism ministry is now working on ‘Repeat Tourism’, which aims at re-inviting the tourists to India. She regards tourists re-visiting India as a classic example of our hospitality, and hence is taking steps to improve the number of visits. She pays high regards to the ‘Incredible India Bread and Breakfast’ scheme, which according to her has provided a homely atmosphere to many foreigners.
They also believe that the tourism industry is impending growth due to the loose connectivity between cities and rural areas, and to meet this, they are promoting helicopter services in the hustle and bustle areas. So far they have developed 9 helipads in Himachal Pradesh, which would soon be in working conditions, and proliferate the tourism industry. The minister hoped of going a long way in promoting the cause of tourism, and banks on the ‘Repeat Tourism’ mechanism for a successful beginning. Let us now see how repeatedly the ‘Repeat Tourism’ does spring in India!
