Satyam Saga Worsens!

January 29, 2009 – 6:33 pm

As if only this was remaining! After much humiliation and embarrassment from across the globe, this time it is the World Bank who has made a worsening blow. OK, I’ll state it without any euphemisms- World Bank has said “Get out Satyam!” The World Bank has outrightly barred the India’s Satyam Computer Services from business.

So is it an indication that Indian business would suffer? This is a moot point. Satyam isn’t the only Indian Public Company whose accounting integrity has been challenged. There were fraud sagas prior to Satyam’s which did plant the seeds of fear relating to Indian BPO sector. No highlighting changes were reflected in the Indian Business, and it kept soaring new heights. However with the intensity of the act of fraud, and B.R. Raju’s words swinging on a roller coaster ride, it seems difficult to get Satyam back on trails, but the Indian business isn’t on a blacker side.

  2. Yes it is very difficult for Satyam to get back on track soon. Although it is not affecting the Indian Biz but still such frauds should be reduced to maintain the World Wide reputation of Indian Biz.
