Want to do engineering, or get a degree in medical science, a course in IT or…a diploma in anti-terrorism? You heard that right- a Post Graduate course in Counter-Terrorism.

Call it a step towards stopping terrorism, promoting peace, using education for the right means, or just another humanitarian duty, fighting Terrorism with Education is the new mantra in the Indian Education sector. Sarhad College of Arts, run and facilitated by an NGO by the name of ‘Sarhad’ has initiated a 2 years Anti-Terrorism course.

The Director Sanjay Nahar opines that as terrorism has decided to stay in India, and terrorists are behaving professional in their activities, there’s a strict need to be equally professional in our approach to counter terrorism. He has thus drafted the syllabus of the first 2 years of the anti-terrorist PG course which also includes the role of Press & Media.

Mr. Nahar is not just concerned with the scheduling and commencement of the course. He is equally concerned about the career prospects of the students who would opt the course. He has approached various banks, malls and IT companies who are interested in hiring Counter-terrorist professionals.

So we could say, there are great things happening Sarhad ke us paar
