Fruit Vendor’s Grand Children- The Next IAS Officers
January 19, 2009 – 7:01 pmTo sum it up, this is what I call determination, will power, dedication, care and concern. The best of studies are not the prerogative of super rich who cannot study without comfortable study table, night lamps and other conveniences. The only requisite for studying is the determination to make a mark. The brother-sister duo Mukul and Mukta, originally from Andhra Pradesh, proved it right. With their grand parent’s blessings, both have made it into India’s prestigious Civil Services.
With hopes in their hearts and head held high, the humble children give full credit to their grand parents. Their grandfather- a fruit vendor in his times, gathered money and funded for his son’s education. Now the grand children are also leading forward on the same footsteps and Mukul is confident of her sister being a successful IAS officer.
Truly, in India education is a dream come true. With Mukul and Mukta’s case it’s affirmed that education in India is not an individual’s dream…it is a collaborative effort of parents and grandparents, to see their future generations established.
