AFA-Animation and Fine Arts Academy
October 6, 2009 – 6:31 pmAFA Academy was first started in Coimbatore by two well-trained professionals in the field of animation and fine arts. The biggest advantage this animation institute has is that the owner himself works as a faculty member who teaches basic drawing to his students. He believes that drawing is a base for learning animation. He says that having good drawing ability and basic 2d knowledge helps in delivering excellent 3D works. He emphasize on the point that 2D is an added advantage for 3D animator.
AFA offers courses in 2D animation, 3D animation, multimedia and fine arts, taught to an international level. This makes student trained for international companies understanding the international needs. The advent of animation industry gained a momentum after cartoon network made its inception in India, which received immense popularity. Today, Indian companies have started making animated movies and cartoon programs itself that are getting much popularity and appreciation worldwide. AFA understands the strengthening foothold of animation industry in India and gives training accordingly. Although a majority of Indian production houses are earning their bread from small-end projects but bigger companies are certainly moving up to the value projects. India, on a verge to become a preferred destination, is outsourcing its assignments to the global studios including Walt Disney Pictures. Another reason for much hyped demand of animation is ever-increasing advertising industry in India.
AFA not only confined to giving them training and preparing them to meet the demands of world’s animation industry but takes responsibility to get them placed in top companies. The classes at the institute is conducted for only two hours that encourages students to keep themselves involved in other activities such as part time job, or any other prolific course. After completing the course, students may get well-fitted to the industries such as the film, the special effects, the games, the independent film and the computer industry, etc. After getting entered in the working industry, they can acquire the role of Character Designers, Editors, Background Artists, Scriptwriters, Visual Engineers, Researchers, Directors, Character and Back ground Developers, Compositors, Programmers, Layout Artists, Modelers, and Riggers to name a few.
Recently, AFA bags an achievement by signing an agreement with “Shri Rama Krishna Mission Vidyalaya” Polytechnic College, which would help the institution to flourish more and to serve in a wider way.
